Born in 1975 in Vancouver, Ildikó Noémi Nagy grew up in the United States and studied in Budapest at the Franz Liszt Music Academy and Eötvös Loránd University. Her short-story collection Eggyétörve (“Broken in One”), written in Hungarian, appeared in German translation. Her translations from Hungarian into English include the novels Lemur, Who Are You? by László Garaczi and Drug Diary by Viktor Kubiszyn, as well as bestselling novels by Éva Fejős, including Bangkok Transit. Nagy has also created English subtitles for many Hungarian films.
